1. Welcome

I am glad to announce you an important extension of the VFSM run-time system implementation: the introduction of the Vfsm Executor library. Due to this fact, a new StateWORKS Studio version was released.

As this is the last newsletter for 2007 I use the opportunity to wish you Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. In 2008 we will continue to supply you information about the StateWORKS concept and implementation.

Regards
F. Wagner

2. Technical note "VFSM executor library"

The technical note presents the basic features of the VFSM library. The library is an excerpt of the RTDB library and contains the VFSM Executor. A set of methods are provided to access the executor. In addition, the StateWORKS Studio generates a new file xxx_out.h containing initialized constants which are used by the access methods to realize the real-to-virtual interface conversion for the Executor.

The VFSM library is intended for use in simple projects with a few state machines which cannot use for some reasons the RTDB based concept.

3. StateWORKS Studio version 7.1

In December 2007 we shall release the version 7.1 of StateWORKS Studio which contains the VFSM library. Note that both libraries: RTDB and VFSM are becoming standard parts of our StateWORKS development package. There are no run-time licenses for any of these libraries.
